About Lane & Lil Man
My name is Lane Ingram, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have a therapy dog named Lil Man who would love to meet you.
I am a therapist. More specifically, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with nearly 10 years of experience helping people. Before opening my private practice Upside Wellness in 2014, I worked in a wide variety of clinical settings, helping individuals, couples, and families work through anxiety, depression, OCD, suicide attempts, self-mutilation, mood disorders, addiction, and marriage problems.
Lil Man is an 8 year-old Chihuahua I rescued in the summer of 2016 from the Austin Animal Center. He is very mellow and relaxed at all times. He loves to cuddle, sleep, and be touched so he is a perfect therapy dog. People sit with him and pet on him as much or as little as they prefer during their therapy sessions with me, and doing so adds an extra bit of comfort, warmth, and support. He is extremely popular among my patients.
I have worked with adults, adolescents, couples, and families in just about every setting imaginable including outpatient psychiatric clinics and behavioral health hospitals. I have overseen hospital units and programs and worked with hundreds of patients. I am a member of the American Counseling Association, the Association for Applied and Therapeutic Humor, and the Texas Association of Addiction Professionals. I have a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of North Texas where I graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA and a Bachelor's Degree in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas at Austin where I achieved University Honors and the Dean's List.
But in addition to being a therapist, I am also a comedy performer.
I trained, studied, and performed in Chicago at some of the best comedy theaters in the world. I graduated from the Second City Training Center Conservatory Program and ImprovOlympic. I love comedy. I love to laugh. I love dogs, and I love helping people.
